The Local Police of Santa Eulària has carried out two operations in a single day that culminated in the arrest of three people accused of an alleged crime against public health. crime against public health. A first case that started with a chase
The first operation took place in the central Sant Jaume street, where the agents detected a vehicle in which two occupants were exchanging what appeared to be a suspicious substance. When stopped, the individuals tried to flee, throwing out the window a bag containing 10 wrappers of cocaine, weighing nine grams, and a small amount of hashish. The chase ended in es Novells street, where the police intercepted the car and detained the driver, who was taken into police custody. The vehicle was subjected to a thorough search as part of the procedure.
A second intervention uncovered more illicit substances
Hours later, in the vicinity of es Mercat and the bus stop in the center of the parish, the agents observed a man who, upon noticing the police presence, adopted a nervous attitude before getting into a car. After maneuvering at high speed, the vehicle was stopped, revealing an intense odor of prohibited substances inside. During the search, the police officers found 24 wraps of cocaine, weighing 22 grams, as well as three hashish plates with a total weight of 58 grams. Along with the substances, the occupants of the car were carrying 1,470 Euros distributed in bills of various denominations and a 50 Swiss franc bill. Both were arrested for their alleged links to drug trafficking.
