Criminals from very specific neighborhoods in Naples belonging to the city’s mafia organizations belonging to the Camorra moved specifically to target cities such as Ibiza to steal high-end watches, a joint operation by the National Police and the Italian Polizia di Stato has revealed.
According to information released on Saturday by the National Police, the members arrested and identified in an operation launched two years ago in collaboration with the Squadra Mobile of Naples of the Italian Polizia di Stato stand out for being people with a high degree of organization and coordination capacity to carry out their spectacular hits.

Part of the operation was a spectacular hit this summer near Ibiza airport, when one of the criminals got off his motorcycle and snatched the watch from the wrist of the driver of a luxury SUV.

The operations were meticulously designed in advance. The units sent to the target cities for the organization divided up the functions before the coup. Previously, there was a previous study of the area of action and the behavior of the future victims. The international investigation has allowed the National Police to clarify 49 robberies in Spain, to arrest 36 members of the criminal organization and to identify 25 other members of the gang for whom the courts have issued European arrest warrants. Some of the arrests referred to have taken place in the slums of Naples, in view of the images released by the National Police.
Only 12 watches recovered
In addition to the mastery with which they perpetrate the robberies, the gang has also achieved a high capacity to avoid the seizure of the stolen watches. Thus, the operation has only been able to recover 12 pieces of the 49 robberies that have been part of the investigation. In total, the loot accumulated by the rolex gang amounts to two million euros. Not in vain, there are pieces that reach 200,000 euros.
