Exactly 4,531,856 passengers arrived by plane to Ibiza in the course of the year 2024, compared to 4,464,295 in the previous year. In December, the last available data, there were 119,330 arrivals, 2.55% more in the interannual comparison. Of course, most of the arrivals come from other cities in Spain, but the island also receives a large influx of international tourism.
Where are the tourists coming to Ibiza from?
At the top of the table is, by far, the United Kingdom: last year 922,608 Britons arrived on the island of Ibiza and Formentera. Although this is a significant figure and there was an increase in total arrivals, this figure represents a drop of 0.32% when compared to 2023. In the last month of the year, visitors from the same place were 2,567, or 5.07% less year-on-year. Other European countries such as Italy (457,766), Germany (352,547), Holland (282,030) and France (209,802) are further behind as the main emitters of tourists to Ibiza, all of them, except the Dutch nation, with increases in the annual accumulated. The strongest increase was that of Ireland, which between 2023 and 2024 went from 24,505 to 39,075 travelers arriving on the island: 59.46% more precisely. At the other extreme, Poland, Denmark, Hungary, Finland and Sweden show the strongest declines.
