For the Popular Party of Ibiza, the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has “disavowed” the Ibizan PSOE by not filing an appeal of unconstitutionality against the urban amnesty approved in the Balearic Islands, which allows the legalization of buildings on rural land whose infractions have prescribed.
The Popular Party has stressed that the decision of the central government not to appeal the measure is a recognition of its legality and a blow to the socialists of the island, who, according to the PP, have based their strategy on “judicializing everything”.
Criticism of the position of the PSOE ibicenco
From the PP of Ibiza have charged against the position of the socialists on the island, recalling that the PSOE filed an appeal of unconstitutionality against the regulations approved by the Consell de Ibiza and requested its precautionary suspension before the Court of Administrative Disputes.
“The ridiculousness of Elena López and the omnipresent Pilar Costa announcing catastrophes and promoting appeals against what Pedro Sánchez now recognizes as constitutional is unprecedented,” said the PP.
Likewise, the Popular Party has stated that the Ibizan PSOE is controlled by the “same clans as always”, referring to the Costa, Agustinet, Ruiz and Herrera, who, according to the PP, have chosen to place a general secretary without political weight and focus their strategy on the courts.
Defense of urban regularization
The PP has insisted that the PSOE’s position ignores the problem of hundreds of Ibizan families and small landowners seeking to legalize their homes on rural land.
“The PSOE prefers to persecute the neighbors instead of providing solutions. While they compulsively appeal, we defend measures with zero impact on the territory“, have pointed out from the PP, demanding the socialists to present proposals instead of resorting to the courts.
The Popular Party has asked the PSOE of Ibiza to stop “destroying causing pain to the people of Ibiza” and criticized its “permanent threat” on the owners affected by the rule.
