The City Council of Sant Antoniin collaboration with the Merchants Association, has launched the third edition of the campaign Sant Antoni in Love, an initiative that seeks to boost local trade on the occasion of Valentine’s Day.
The day, to be held on Friday, February 14, will feature street entertainment and a contest on social networks that will reward the creativity of the participants.
Music, dance and prizes for customers
During the festive day, the Adrián Pineda Dance Studio will carry out itinerant performances through the streets of the municipality. Cupids, music and hearts will be part of the show, which will be divided into two shows, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, with the aim of creating a festive atmosphere and attracting more people to local businesses.
In addition, the City Council has prepared a contest on social networks in which 10 shopping vouchers of 50 euros each will be raffled. To participate, customers must upload a photo featuring a local business or one of the entertainers of the event, using the hashtag #InLoveconSantAntoni and following the official accounts of the City Council and the Merchants Association. The most original and funniest images will be the winners.
A boost to local commerce
As part of the campaign, the City Council has distributed stickers with the word Love and decorative hearts among participating businesses, with the aim of generating an attractive shopping environment.
The councilman of Local Economic Development, Miguel Tur, has stressed the importance of this initiative for the municipality: “We want to encourage citizens to bet on local trade on a date as special as Valentine’s Day, highlighting the value of local shopping and promoting the economy of Sant Antoni”.
For his part, Joan Ribas, president of the Merchants Association, has highlighted the reception of the campaign among the establishments of the municipality: “All businesses can participate in the campaign by decorating their windows and, in addition, customers can win prizes simply by sharing their experience on social networks”.
