Madrid’s Movistar Arena (formerly WiZink Center) became the epicenter of urban music with the start of the ‘Buenas noches’ tour by the Canary Islander Pedro Luis Domínguez Quevedo, known artistically as Quevedo. On the night of Monday , February 17, in front of a packed house, the singer presented his new album with a concert that combined reggaeton, trap and innovative fusions.
A resounding success and sold out
Monday’s was the first of three concerts scheduled in the capital, with tickets for the first two dates sold out in just a few hours. More than 17,000 people attended the first date, where the audience chanted every song of the artist, who has conquered the music scene since his success with Bizarrap in 2022.
An immersive show full of surprises
At 9:00 pm, with absolute punctuality, Quevedo appeared on stage dressed in black, with aviator glasses and his characteristic diamond chain inspired by Van Gogh’s ‘The Starry Night’. He opened the concert with ‘Kassandra’, marking the beginning of an energetic show that kept his fans in suspense for almost two hours.
The repertoire included songs from their new album and hits from their previous album ‘Donde quiero estar’. Among the highlights of the night were:
- Gran Vía’, performed with Aitana.
- The participation of De la Ghetto, De la Rose and Sech.
- The presence of his inseparable musical partner, La Pantera.
- The expected collaboration with Lola Indigo in ‘El tonto’.
Although artists such as Pitbull and Yung Beef were not present, the energy in the venue never waned.
An innovative scenario and connection with the public
The show took place on a central stage, allowing attendees to enjoy the show from any angle. This format, previously used by artists such as Travis Scott, facilitated an immersive experience.
During the evening, Quevedo expressed his gratitude:“Good evening Madrid, thank you very much for coming. Thank you very much for coming, I really wanted to come back after two years. Are we ready to enjoy? I want everyone to sing with me.
The mostly young fans responded enthusiastically, some even sporting UD Las Palmas T-shirts in honor of their homeland.
An apotheosis closing with a tribute included
In addition to his greatest hits such as ‘Piel de cordero’, ‘Ahora qué’, ‘Duro’ or ‘Vista al mar’, Quevedo surprised with a tribute to the group Jarabe de Palo, performing ‘La flaca’ with the band’s guitarist.
The highlight of the evening came with an explosive combination of ‘Mr. Moondial’ (his collaboration with Pitbull) and his iconic ‘Quevedo: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52’. with which he said goodbye to the concert amidst a deafening ovation.
