A multiple accident has taken place this afternoon, around 4 pm, in the Can Cifre tunnel in the direction of Ibiza. The incident began when a motorcyclist rear-ended a car, leaving him in the middle of the road and causing a series of collisions between other vehicles that tried to avoid him. The motorcyclist, despite being injured and bloodied, showed a violent attitude, attempting to assault both the occupants of the vehicle with which he collided and other people who came to his aid. Eyewitnesses indicated that he might have been under the influence of substances, given his erratic behavior. In a moment of carelessness, the motorcyclist got back on his bike and managed to escape from the scene before the Guardia Civil arrived, leaving the rescue teams working on the removal of the vehicles involved. Two teams from Grúas Ibiza intervened to clear the tunnel and restore traffic flow.
Ongoing research
The Civil Guard has taken charge of the case and has initiated the search for the motorcyclist, who is unaccounted for after his escape. The authorities are expected to make progress in the investigation to clarify the circumstances of the accident and find the person responsible.
