The Department of Culture, Heritage and Education of the City Council of Sant Josep has opened the call for grants aimed at non-profit cultural and folkloric entities. These grants seek to promote traditional folklore and boost the cultural life of the municipality. Eligible actions include activities carried out between January 1, 2023 and September 30, 2024.
Promotion of folklore and tradition
The objective of these grants is to support projects that keep local traditions alive, as well as initiatives organized within the framework of patron saint festivals, neighborhood festivities and popular events. Also covered are courses, workshops, exhibitions and the publication of bibliographic materials related to the cultural heritage of the PitiĆ¼ses. In addition, the grants cover the operating expenses necessary for the maintenance of these entities. It is important to note that neighborhood associations will not be able to access this line of aid, as they have a specific subsidy program.
Requirements and deadlines
To qualify for aid, entities must meet several requirements, such as being registered with both the City Council of Sant Josep and the Ministry of the Presidency of the Balearic Government and prove that they are not for profit. In addition, they must be up to date with their tax obligations and have the necessary resources to carry out the projects presented. Applications can be submitted in person at the General Registry of the City Council or through the electronic headquarters at santjosep.sedelectronica.es. The deadline for submission is December 2.
