An amateur metal detectorist has lived a surprising experience on a beach in Ibiza, where in just four hours he found an unexpected booty. While inspecting the sand, he found national and foreign coins, as well as seven gold rings, one of them being 19 carats, a discovery that left the finder completely astonished. The author of the find, known on social networks as @metalesbajolaarena, shared his experience through a video in which he shows the incredible booty. As he explained, three of the rings found are nine carats, three others are 18 carats, and one more, the most impressive, is 19 carats, an unusual piece even for him. “This is the brutality that wanted to come out today,” he comments in his video, still incredulous at his good fortune.

Is it legal to use metal detectors in Ibiza?
Although finding valuable objects with a metal detector can be exciting, the use of these devices has legal limitations in Spain. Their use is allowed as long as specific regulations are respected, avoiding operating in areas of Cultural Interest (BIC), archaeological sites or nature reserves, and permission is also required on private properties. In Ibiza, it is crucial to comply with these regulations to avoid legal problems.
What to do if you find a valuable object?
The law states that if an object of value is found, it must be turned over to the appropriate municipality to be publicly advertised. If within two years no one claims ownership, the finder may keep the object or its value. In addition, if the rightful owner claims it in time, he is obliged to compensate the finder with one tenth of the value of the find.
