The Ibiza Town Hall has given the green light to a new reduction of the Real Estate Tax (IBI)allowing taxpayers to save up to 105 euros by adding this reduction to the one approved last year. The measure includes discounts ranging between 10 and 15 euros depending on the cadastral value of each property. For example, properties with a cadastral value of 100,000 euros will have a reduction of 10 euros, while those of 150,000 euros will benefit from 15 euros less in their receipt. During the plenary session, the first deputy mayor, Gema MarĆ, stressed that neighbors can get an additional 3% rebate on their IBI fee by direct debiting their bills, with a maximum saving of 30 euros. “This is an opportunity for those who have not yet domiciled their payments to do so with a view to 2025 and benefit from greater savings in their budget,” said MarĆ, stressing that this reduction represents a direct support to family economies at a time of constant fiscal pressure.
Other changes
The plenary approval also included changes in the tax ordinance for the tax on mechanical traction vehicles. In this case, the bonuses for electric vehicles go from 75% to 30%, while for hybrids and LPG vehicles they go down from 50% to 20%. For example, a moped that would normally pay 8.17 euros without a rebate will be reduced to 5.72 euros. For vehicles of greater power, such as those with 20 or more fiscal horsepower, the fee without discount would be 207.20 euros, being reduced to 145.04 euros if it is electric and 165.76 euros if it is hybrid. These updates, explained from the consistory, seek to adjust the ordinances to the new guidelines and fiscal trends, still maintaining a 100% bonus for historic vehicles. With these measures, the City Council reinforces its commitment to alleviate the tax burden of citizens, offering savings options and additional benefits in municipal taxes.
