The Judicial Police Team of the Guardia Civil of Ibiza, from the open investigation, has been able to verify that the fire had been arson. The virulent fire caused the eviction of the houses located just above the premises and several neighbors had to be treated by the health services that went to the scene. One of them had to be taken to Can Misses hospital as a precaution. As a result of the investigation, in which, after taking statements from the injured parties and victims of the facts, as well as the visualization of several security cameras in the area, it was possible to identify the perpetrator of the facts. The value of the damage caused amounts to 400,000 euros. For this reason, the agents proceeded to the arrest of a German male, 48 years of age, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of arson with danger to persons, as well as a crime of damage. The proceedings and the detainee were handed over to the competent judicial authority.
