Baleària has announced a reinforcement in its ferry services between Ibiza and Denia from December 21st to January 12th. The shipping company has prepared a special schedule that includes additional connections on weekends from the island to the mainland and, in reverse, departures from Denia in the afternoon. These additional services will be provided by the ferry Bahama Mama, a natural gas vessel with capacity for 1,000 passengers and 340 vehicles. Passengers will be able to enjoy onboard services including cafeteria, restaurant, gift store, free digital entertainment and the ability to send WhatsApp messages during the crossing. In addition to the weekend connections between Ibiza and Denia, Baleària will continue to operate the daily high-speed service between Palma-Ibiza-Dénia and Ibiza-Formentera-Dénia.
Reinforced connections in Menorca and Mallorca
The shipping company will also expand its services between Menorca, Mallorca and Barcelona with six weekly rotations that will feature the new fast ferry Margarita Salas. This vessel, considered one of the most advanced examples of innovation and digitalization, has capacity for 1,200 passengers and 450 vehicles and will reduce travel times, offering a crossing of only three and a half hours between Ciutadella, Alcudia and Barcelona.
Christmas activities
With the festive atmosphere in mind, Baleària has programmed entertainment activities for the routes between the Balearic Islands and the mainland during the Christmas season. Between December 20 and January 7, some of its ships will offer magic shows and visits from Santa Claus and his helpers for the enjoyment of the little ones. The shipping company has also strengthened its collaboration with Oxfam Intermón, giving away children’s books on board as part of its commitment to solidarity and fair trade.
