A 78-year-old man, of Spanish nationality, is hospitalized in serious condition after being hit by a car in Es Canar, in the municipality of Santa Eulària. The accident occurred yesterday at noon, mobilizing the island’s emergency teams. The event took place on a road in the tourist area, known for its cycling and pedestrian activity. According to official sources, the impact left the cyclist with serious injuries, including cranioencephalic trauma, subarachnoid hemorrhage and polytrauma. The Guardia Civil, the local police and an ambulance from the Policlinic Group were on the scene, and the injured man was rushed to the hospital. The cyclist was admitted at 13:56 hours and was directly referred to the Neurosurgery Unit, where he remains under constant monitoring by the specialized medical team.
