The City Council of Santa Eulària has announced that this Friday, November 29, will open the registration period for the Christmas Schools, an initiative aimed at children born between 2013 and 2021. These activities, which will take place in three locations in the municipality, seek to facilitate family and work conciliation during the holiday period, while providing the little ones with an enriching experience with workshops and excursions. Registrations will be available until December 4 through the official website.
Expansion of days and venues
This year’s Christmas Schools will be extended from seven to eight days, offering activities on December 23, 24, 26, 27, 30 and 31, as well as on January 2 and 3. The schedule will be from 8:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., providing a flexible option for families. As for the venues, the programs will be held in Santa Eulària, es Puig d’en Valls and Santa Gertrudis. However, the opening in the latter location will depend on the number of registrations. If the required minimum is not reached, those registered may choose to attend any of the other available venues.
Activities and rates
Enrolled children will participate in workshops on handicrafts, cooking, body expression and sports, as well as cultural activities such as cinema, theater and magic. There will also be thematic excursions that will complement the experiences within the schools. The general price to participate is 70 euros, although there are discounts for large families and single-parent families, as well as for children with some degree of disability. In these cases, the cost is reduced by half, and for users with a recognized disability of more than 51%, the activity will be free of charge. In addition, families registering more than one member will have a 10% discount for the second child.
Priority registration
The registration system will prioritize children registered in Santa Eulària. Secondly, non-residents will be considered, but who are schooled in one of the parishes of the municipality. Finally, applications from other interested parties will be evaluated depending on the availability of places.
