An agent of the Customs service of Ibiza has starred this weekend in an unfortunate incident that ended in the hospital. During his shift on duty, the worker suffered an accidental shot in the foot while handling his regulation weapon.
The agent would have pulled the trigger involuntarily while the gun was pointing to the ground, according to Diario de Ibiza. The incident took place last Saturday, when the agent, apparently unconcentrated, fired the shot that hit one of his feet. After the accident, his colleagues alerted the 061 emergency services, who transferred the wounded man to Can Misses Hospital for medical attention. The agent was hospitalized for almost four days. Yesterday, sources from Customs of the Tax Agency confirmed that the worker was discharged from hospital after experiencing an improvement, according to Diario de Ibiza.
