A team of the Firefighters of Ibizaaccompanied by the 061, the Local Police of Santa Eulària and the Guardia Civil, carried out this Friday afternoon a rescue at the viewpoint of ses Torretes. The intervention was activated after receiving a call about a person who suffered an accident during a hike in the forest, presenting a possible ankle injury.
A joint operation to ensure safe transportation
The rescue mobilized five firefighters and a corporal who went to the scene with a specialized GRV vehicle.
The injured person, unable to move by his own means due to his ailment, was carefully transferred by the team to the ambulance to receive medical attention.
An emblematic site with risks in its surroundings
The Ses Torretes viewpoint, a point of great tourist and natural interest in Santa Eulària, attracts hikers and walkers looking to enjoy panoramic views. However, the wooded terrain and slopes can pose risks, especially on unmarked routes or in adverse conditions. The Ibiza Fire Department has highlighted the importance of the quick response and the collaboration between the different security and emergency forces that participated in this service.
