A simple phone call from Spain through a common contact introducing himself to the self-styled Nation of Hawaï as a banker led to the beginning of a collaboration based initially on “humanitarian efforts” and “the continuous search for reconciliation and independence of our people” between the false diplomat, Youcef Aden, with the entity, as confirmed to La Voz de Ibiza from the organization that claims its independence from the United States from a territorial base located in Pu’uhonua or Waimānalo, an autonomous refuge on O’ahu that by 2017 had just 20 homes and about 80 people.
Once the link was established and he was appointed Ambassador, Minister of Finance and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and without even setting foot on Hawaiian soil, Youcef Aden tried to implement three interrelated projects of enormous financial significance, which were actually his goal.
The projects of the unauthorized fake diplomat
Second Vice President and also Minister of Foreign Affairs (a position held by Aden) and Minister of Commerce for the Nation of Hawaii, John Kealoha Garcia, has explained to this media outlet that “Aden and the Nation of Hawaii (sic) explored conceptual projects, such as a National Bank of Hawaii, a Hawaiian dollar and cryptocurrency projects,” initiatives s that “were neither officially approved nor implemented”.
Aden did nothing for Hawaii
In reality, Aden did nothing for the Nation of Hawaii during his meager tenure, except to take advantage of his titles to build up a false image with which he has been walking around Ibiza with impunity for the last three to four years. Until La Voz de Ibiza discovered his wanderings and added the prefix ex to his ostentatious titles.
“No significant policies or projects were developed or implemented under his leadership,” explain from the Hawaii Nation government, visibly upset with the wanderings of his former collaborator based on the tone of the responses.
The reasons for the separation
Yosef Aden’s three flagship projects are described as“exploratory ideas that did not align with our current economic framework and eventually led to our separation”, so any relationship between the aforementioned projects and the Nation of Hawaii is “inaccurate”. Thus, none of what the fake diplomat states on his page in this regard is true, according to the official response from the government of the self-styled Nation of Hawaii.
It follows that the laws and projects explained in detail on his website are the result of a fabrication based on a hoax based on the collaboration between Aden and the pro-independence organization that was actually active for a few months, between the years 2021 and 2022, and which he has baptized as “acts of government”.
The cryptocurrency business
The uncovered conspiracy consists of making it appear that Kapital Banque, one of his companies, provided the infrastructure supporting the aforementioned projects and that the supposedly never-created national bank, of which his company held 50% of the shares until the Nation of Hawaii eventually bought them, would issue a digital currency baptized NoH Dollar (NHD), buy and sell precious metals and carry out international financial transactions. The cryptocurrency would be backed by physical gold, supposedly stored in the bank’s facilities.
A life as a movie
According to what La Voz de Ibiza has been able to reconstruct , Mohamed Youcef Ihaddaden, born in France in 1964, has had a life like a movie. And, in view of the montage related to the Nation of Hawaii and that led him to make an official visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo, never better said. Private clubs in London and Barcelona and now in Ibiza, art galleries and a past in the Hollywood film industry adorn his career. Youcef Aden, who has declined to offer explanations to La Voz de Ibiza, has told in various reports that he was a fashion designer and that he participated in the Hollywood film industry. Among his work achievements, he mentions having worked with the Jackson 5, Elton John, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, among other big names. Youcef Aden’s last known work has taken place in Ibiza: the Youcef Aden Galleries, the private club You and Love Ibiza, a space for “local talents”.
According to people familiar with the private club, it is a space halfway between an art gallery and a discotheque, which can only be accessed by invitation, with parties that last until the next day, with expensive collector’s bottles of all kinds of alcoholic beverages. It is located on the first floor of Josep María Quadrado street in Ibiza.
