The National Police of Ibiza arrested last Tuesday a 46-year-old man, of Senegalese origin, as the alleged perpetrator of a robbery with force inside a vehicle. The incident took place in Avenida España, where the suspect was located just two hours after committing the crime.
Investigation and finding of stolen objects
The events were triggered during the early hours of the morning, when a patrol of the Citizen Security Brigade spotted an individual known for his criminal record.
He was carrying a backpack with tools and bottles of alcohol, the origin of which he could not justify when questioned by the agents.
Shortly thereafter, a citizen alerted the Police after finding his vehicle parked with the passenger door frame forced open and several items missing, including tools and sunglasses.
The quick connection between the two incidents allowed the officers to link the items found in the detainee’s backpack to those stolen from the vehicle.
Arrest in the neighborhood of Sa Penya
Thanks to the investigations carried out, the agents located the suspect in the neighborhood of Sa Penya around 4:00 a.m., proceeding to his arrest. The individual was arrested for his involvement in a crime of robbery with force and transferred to the police station of Ibiza to carry out the corresponding legal procedures.
