Mare Nostrum, the Ibizan company specializing in occupational risk prevention, has recorded an impressive 55% growth in 2024 over the previous year. This increase reflects a solid business strategy based on national expansion, diversification of services and its ability to secure key contracts in the public sector.
A reference in large national projects
In 2024, Mare Nostrum stood out for its participation in large-scale projects, consolidating its presence throughout Spain. One of the most important milestones of the year was the award of the contract for the health and safety coordination of the remodeling of the La Romareda stadium in Zaragoza. This project, part of the preparations for the 2030 World Cup, positions Mare Nostrum as a major player in large infrastructures. Its proposal, valued at 140,399 euros, was selected as the best in a project whose total budget exceeds 151 million euros.
Public sector confidence
The company also strengthened its relationship with various public institutions. Among the most important projects, Mare Nostrum provided occupational risk prevention services to the Ministry of Equality in a contract valued at 27,830 euros (including VAT). It also collaborated with the Spanish Air Force, providing technical assistance in prevention for an amount of 14,520 euros. These contracts reflect the confidence that the public administrations have placed in the company’s technical and operational capacity. In the scientific field, Mare Nostrum was awarded the contract to evaluate the occupational risks of 1,200 workstations at the Energy, Environmental and Technological Research Center (CIEMAT) in Madrid, for an amount of 87,120 euros (VAT included). It also played a key role in the Principality of Asturias, managing the updating of self-protection plans, team training and drills in judicial headquarters and in a center for minors, with a project valued at 56,991 euros.
Diversification towards sustainability
As part of its expansion strategy, Mare Nostrum also took a step towards sustainability by installing electric charging stations at RTVE’s facilities. This project is evidence of the company’s ability to diversify its service portfolio and adapt to emerging market needs.
National expansion and leadership
Founded in Ibiza, Mare Nostrum has managed to expand its reach beyond the Balearic Islands, establishing offices in Formentera, Madrid and Zaragoza. Its focus on offering competitive prices and customized solutions has been key to winning important tenders against larger competitors. This success is based on its ability to adapt to the specific needs of each client and project, while maintaining high quality standards.
A solid foundation for the future
Mare Nostrum’s spectacular growth in 2024 represents not only a financial milestone, but also recognition of its efficient and results-oriented business model. The company is emerging as a benchmark in the field of occupational risk prevention and the management of large projects in Spain. With a solid operational and financial base, Mare Nostrum faces 2025 with ambition, seeking to further expand its reach and strengthen its market position.
