The newly appointed president of New Generations (NNGG) of the Balearic Islands, Vicenç Isern, has announced the members of its steering committee, highlighting among them the Ibizan Manuel Jiménez, who will serve as vice president. His incorporation reinforces the presence of the island in the youth leadership of the party, providing a perspective close to the needs of young people in Ibiza.
Ibizan representation in the committee
Manuel Jiménez, with training in Landscaping and Rural Environment and studies in Law at the UIB, adds to this position his previous experience as a councilman in the City Council of Ibiza and his participation in other roles within NNGG. According to the party, his appointment responds to the intention of including profiles that can connect with the concerns of young people and work for solutions according to the particularities of each island. Jiménez will have responsibilities linked to institutional representation and the definition of strategies for the committee, prioritizing initiatives that benefit youth in key areas such as sustainability and welfare.
A renewed team for New Generations
The team, presented by Isern, is made up of young people with training and experience in different fields. In addition to Jiménez, Andreu Homar has been appointed secretary general and Núria Vinent, general coordinator. Together, the committee seeks to foster cohesion among the islands and develop projects that strengthen youth participation. Isern stressed that the purpose of his leadership is to “listen to and work at the service of the youth of the Balearic Islands,” an approach that, he said, will guide the decisions of the new committee. In his role as vice president, Manuel Jiménez will be in charge of representing Ibiza within the committee and working on initiatives that reflect the needs of the island’s youth. His experience in local politics and his training will allow him to bring a perspective oriented to the island’s reality.
