Eurostars Hotel Company, hotel chain of the Hotusa Group, has announced the addition to its portfolio of the Puerto Ibiza Hotel , which will be renamed Eurostars Puerto de Ibiza 4*. It is the second establishment on the island, where it has managed the Eurostars Ibiza for years. The hotel, formerly known as Puerto Ibiza Hotel & Spa, will start operating under the new management as of March 3 on a lease basis. Located in the es Pratet neighborhood, very close to the port of Ibiza, the hotel has 229 rooms and suites, as well as a wide range of services, including a spa, gym and restaurant areas. Open all year round, it is a hotel that combines corporate and holiday guests.
Room Mate Angel and the legal conflict with the property
The operation comes after the Room Mate Ángel fiasco. Kike Sarasola’s chain announced the incorporation of the hotel into its portfolio. However, it never got to exploit it and finally remained in the hands of the property. Now, a new tenant is coming in to operate the establishment.
Expansion of Eurostars in Ibiza
With this incorporation, Eurostars Hotel Company strengthens its presence in the Balearic Islands, where it already manages three other establishments. The president of Grupo Hotusa, Amancio López, has emphasized that this operation responds to the chain’s strategy of “consolidating its presence in top vacation and tourist destinations”, offering high quality experiences to its clients. The hotel underwent a complete remodeling to change from the mythical Apartamentos El Puerto to a city hotel, at which time it incorporated the live music entertainment offered by Teatro Ibiza.
