The Carnival of Santa Eulària 2025 is already underway and the countdown has begun for one of the most anticipated events of the year in the municipality.
The great rúa will be held on Tuesday, March 4 from 17:00 hours, with a consolidated route that will fill the main streets of the town with color and fun. As every edition, the day will culminate in the Paseo de s’Alamera, where participants can enjoy a celebration with live music and the expected awards ceremony.
Registration is open to participate in the rally
The City Council of Santa Eulària has opened the registration period for all those who want to be part of the parade. Registrations can be formalized until Friday, February 28 at 3:00 pm at the offices of Culture, located at Calle Sant Jaume, number 72. In addition, those interested can consult the rules of the contest and download the necessary documentation through the website of the City Council.
This year is expected to exceed the participation of the last edition, when about 1,000 people and twenty groups took to the streets with their costumes and floats. The Carnival will have four main categories: school groups, adult groups, children’s and adult groups and individuals.
A festive route that will maintain the essence of Carnival
As in previous years, all participants must meet at 16:00 hours in the area of the Hotel Aguas de Ibiza to verify the requirements and establish the starting order. The procession will begin at 17:00 hours and will travel along Salvador Camacho street, continuing along César Puget Riquer, José Guasch Vich and Sant Jaume, until reaching the Paseo de s’Alamera. At this last point, the floats will stop to give way to the awards ceremony, which will recognize the effort and creativity of the participants.
The festive day will be enlivened by the Sandy Valey Band, which will offer a live show to liven up the celebration.
Prizes for the best troupes and costumes
The Carnival of Santa Eulària 2025 will not only be an explosion of joy and creativity, but also an opportunity for the best costumes, choreographies and floats to be recognized. This year, the organization will distribute almost 8,000 euros in prizes among the different categories.
School and adult troupes will receive cash prizes for their efforts and staging, while smaller groups and individual participants will also receive recognition. In addition, special prizes will be awarded for the best choreography, originality, the most musical float and the use of recycled materials. The grand prize for the best float will be the most coveted of the day.
