The Guardia Civil and Salvamento Marítimo have intercepted and rescued this Wednesday, November 12, 2025, 127 migrants in the Balearic Islands, 54 of them in Formentera (Es Caló and Arenales beach) and 73 south of Cabrera, according to data from the Government Delegation.
By land and sea
Three operations took place in the sea off Cabrera: 23 people of sub-Saharan origin were rescued at 01.30 at 7.7 miles south of the island; 25 at 02.40 at 20 miles; and another 25 at 04.35 at 32 miles, with the intervention of Salvamento Marítimo and USECIC.
On land, in Formentera, the Guardia Civil intercepted 21 people of North African origin at 04.20 in Es Caló, 14 at 05.00 on the Arenales beach and 19 at 07.45 again in Es Caló, with troops from the Formentera, Sant Josep and Ibiza PAFIF posts.
With today’s balance, Formentera has 54 arrivals in three actions and Cabrera 73 rescues at sea. Government Delegation has reported no serious incidents in the devices and all persons have been transferred according to protocol.
These arrivals are in addition to the 34 people intercepted yesterday on the island of Ibiza and Formentera.
