A patera with 19 sub-Saharan people has arrived in the early hours of Wednesday morning in the waters of Formentera, reported the Government Delegation. The rescue of these people, who are in good health, has taken place at 4.00 hours at 9 miles south of Formentera, and in the rescue operation has intervened Maritime Rescue. So far this year at least 5,576 immigrants have reached the Balearic archipelago aboard 334 small boats, according to EFE’s count. Last year 128 boats reached the islands, with a total of 2,278 people.
