Policlinica Group announced this morning that, after “intense negotiations”, they reached a collaboration agreement with the insurance company DKV, which had communicated by means of a burofax the unilateral termination of the contract.
“This step reflects the Policlínica Group’s firm commitment to guaranteeing the wellbeing of patients and offering healthcare services of the highest quality,” the health center reported. In this way, patients insured by DKV will be able to continue accessing the comprehensive services of the Policlínica Group in Ibiza as normal, which include advanced medical specialties, state-of-the-art technology and a team of highly qualified professionals. “We reiterate our commitment to each and every one of the patients insured by DKV, whose interest has prevailed at all times to reach this agreement,” they concluded.
The conflict
As detailed by the clinic, the rupture had been communicated by means of a burofax on October 28, in which DKV announced the unilateral termination of the contract, expressly prohibiting the care of its clients from that date onwards. The Polyclinic assured at that time that no price negotiation had ever been established by DKV and that it was the clinic itself that offered in September a reduction in the rates, conditional on the digitalization of the administrative processes. However, this proposal did not receive a response before the contractual rupture.
