Antonia San Juan faces the last weeks of her cancer treatment with serenity and determination. The actress has explained that her last chemotherapy session is scheduled for December 30, a date that marks the end of a medical process that she has faced naturally and without publicly dramatizing her situation.
The most difficult days after chemotherapy
Through his social networks, San Juan has shared how he feels in the days following each session, which he describes as the most physically complicated. Tiredness, general discomfort and irregular nights of sleep are part of a phase that he assumes as passing: he recognizes that it is not a pleasant experience, but insists that the symptoms subside as the days go by and that he already feels in the final stretch.
“I’m sick, but I don’t live off sickness.”

Despite the treatment, the actress has not slowed down her professional activity or her public presence. She recently attended the Forqué Awards gala, where she once again defended an idea that she has repeated since she made her illness public: she does not consider herself a victim.
For San Juan, going through a health problem does not imply turning it into the axis of her identity or claiming compassion. The artist herself said that she “complies with the treatment and continues with her life, without victimhood or dramatization”.
Antonia San Juan has also reflected on the media attention she has received and the opinions generated by her way of talking about the disease. She assures that she is not worried about the division of opinions and that, at 65 years of age, she has learned to relativize the judgment of others; she rejects the idea of being “brave” for going through cancer and reminds us that no one chooses to get sick, but when it happens, the only thing left to do is to face it.
Recovery and final stretch of the medical process
After her appearance at the Forqué Awards, the actress returned to her followers to tell them that she was recovering from the last session of chemotherapy, resorting to rest and infusions to alleviate the discomfort. Calmly, she recalled that the date of December 30 marks the end of treatment and that, once this stage is over, she will go on with her life as normal.
Beyond his personal situation, San Juan took advantage of his public intervention to focus on one of his constant concerns: the protection of children. During the gala, he spoke about bullying and how difference continues to be a reason for violence in schools: he stressed the importance of education and fostering empathy so that children and adolescents learn to put themselves in the other’s place.
