The Civil Guard has arrested a 31-year-old woman of Swiss nationality at Ibiza airport as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of resistance and disobedience, as reported by the armed forces. The events occurred on Sunday in the context of an incident recorded on a flight bound for Barcelona.
According to the information provided, the agents of the Tax and Border Detachment of Ibiza Airport were requested by the flight crew after the passenger was denied boarding because the access was closed. Despite this, the woman pushed a flight attendant on the ground and gained improper access through the boarding gate.
When the civil guards arrived at the scene, they located the passenger on the stairway of the aircraft, with the intention of entering the aircraft. The agents informed her that she could not board the aircraft and instructed her to leave the restricted area and go inside the airport facilities.
Far from heeding the indications, the woman refused to leave the place and reacted in a hostile and violent manner towards the agents, which led to their intervention. In view of this attitude, the Guardia Civil proceeded to her immediate arrest.
The woman was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of resistance and disobedience, and the facts have been brought to the attention of the competent judicial authority.
