This Sunday, Balearic airports have resumed normal operations after the delays and cancellations recorded on Saturday due to the rains and storms that affected the archipelago. However, Ibiza and Formentera remain on alert for adverse weather conditions, as reported by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). Although flights have been regularized, the Aemet maintains yellow warnings for risk of rain in the Pitiusas and Mallorca, with the possibility of accumulations of up to 20 mm of rainfall in an hour. This situation has led the Emergency Service 112 to maintain active the IG0 of the Meteobal plan, a preventive measure against the rains expected for the rest of the day. The authorities recommend caution, especially on the islands of Ibiza and Formentera, where weather conditions could continue to affect communications and traffic. Although no additional cancellations are expected for now, airlines continue to monitor the situation to ensure flight safety. With the stabilization at the airports and the attention paid to the weather warnings, the archipelago expects the next hours to pass without further setbacks, although vigilance is maintained in the areas most affected by the rains.
