National Police officers have arrested in Ibiza a woman of Spanish origin as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of theft and breaking and entering, as reported by the police.
The events occurred last Wednesday, when two neighbors alerted 091 after surprising a woman entering their home and fleeing on the run. The suspect was carrying several objects that she had allegedly stolen previously from other people, including a tablet, clothes, a cell phone, sunglasses, an induction hob and a coffee maker.
During the attempted restraint by the owners, a struggle ensued and the woman fell to the ground, suffering a bleeding wound to her left eyebrow. Even so, she managed to escape from the scene.
After receiving a detailed description of the suspect, the officers began a search of the area and located some of the stolen material, which the woman lost as she fled. Thanks to the cooperation of the public and the fact that she was already known for her previous convictions, the police managed to locate her shortly afterwards in the street.
When verbally identified -without documentation-, the woman claimed to have had an altercation with a man, without providing any further explanation. At that moment, three people approached the agents to report that the suspect had stolen a backpack with different belongings, coinciding with the objects she had been seen carrying in the raided house.
The agents of the Local Brigade of Citizen Security proceeded to her arrest as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes mentioned above. The investigation remains open to fully clarify the facts.
