The Guardia Civil in Ibiza has filed a complaint against a woman for making unauthorized use of data of members of the Security Forces and Corps.
As reported by the Armed Forces in a statement, last Sunday agents of the Civil Guard in Santa Eulària who were conducting a checkpoint of vehicles and people on the EI200 in Ibiza stopped a car occupied by two women, who, after being identified, continued the march.
Minutes later, the agents noticed that the flow of vehicles on this road decreased considerably, and observed that several vehicles were taking a country road parallel to the road on which they were conducting the checkpoint.
For this reason, the civil guards verified the existence of a group on Telegram whose alleged purpose is to communicate existing road incidents on the island of Ibiza.
In the message it could be read that at the Santa Eulària traffic circle there was a checkpoint and, therefore, they initiated the relevant steps to find out the identity of the person who had written the message in the group, who turned out to be one of the women who had been identified at the checkpoint minutes before.
Once she was located, she was informed that a report had been filed under the Organic Law 4/2015 of March 30 for the protection of citizen security, specifically in relation to article 36.23 for making unauthorized use of data of members of the Security Forces and Corps, jeopardizing the success of the operation. The penalty ranges from 601 to 30,000 euros.
The Civil Guard has reminded that the dissemination of this type of data relating to the Security Forces and Corps is not permitted and its improper use is punishable by law.
