The Court of Violence against Women of Ibiza registered a total of 482 complaints for gender violence during the third quarter of 2025, which represents an increase of 29.6% over the same period last year, when 372 complaints were recorded. The data, made public this Friday by the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) through the Observatory against Domestic and Gender Violence, reflect an average of more than five complaints per day on the island.
In total, 425 women were victims of male violence in Ibiza between July and September. Among them is at least one minor. Of the complaints filed, 55 were filed with a report of injuries, while the vast majority were processed after a police report, a route that continues to be the most common in this type of proceedings.
Of the total number of complaints, 257 were filed directly by the victims themselves, two by family members and 157 by law enforcement officers. Only three women went directly to court to file a complaint.
During the third quarter of the year, the courts issued 59 protection orders, a key measure to ensure the safety of victims in situations of risk. Likewise, 82 men were prosecuted for crimes related to gender violence and all of them were convicted, with no acquittals recorded in this period.
