The Balearic Center for Training, Innovation and Research for School Management (Cfirde) has expanded its territorial presence with the opening of three offices in Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza, the latter also covering Formentera. Until now, the center had only one office in Mallorca, which limited its territorial scope.
As reported by the Ministry of Education and Universities in a statement, this extension will strengthen support to the management teams of the schools of the archipelago and improve access to specialized training.
For the coming quarters and the 2026/2027 academic year, Cfirde will maintain the main lines of training with which it has worked to date, including the development of the management function, updating competencies, mentoring programs for school management, artificial intelligence applied to management and basic tools for new management teams.
In addition, the center will expand its offerings with specific training aimed at all members of management teams, including those of adult education centers and integrated vocational training centers, in response to the demands made by these educational areas.
In parallel, Cfirde has carried out a survey to detect training needs and analyze the areas most in demand by management teams, with the aim of incorporating new proposals into its programming for 2026. In this regard, the center plans to evaluate over the next year the effects of the training course on the development of the managerial function in school management.
On the other hand, the Cfirde has assumed new functions, among them the management of economic subsidies for school principals’ associations and its participation in the Permanent Dialogue Table with school principals, thus reinforcing its role as a space for coordination and support to school principalship in the Balearic Islands.
