The V Rhythmic Gymnastics Christmas Gala of CD Es Vedrà, held this Tuesday at the Caló des Oli Auditorium, became an evening full of emotion, illusion and social commitment, where sport was the vehicle to transmit values such as inclusion, companionship and equal opportunities.
On stage, the gymnasts of the club offered choreographies full of Christmas magic, sensitivity and effort, demonstrating that rhythmic gymnastics goes beyond competition to become art, discipline and emotion. In its inclusive aspect, each exercise reflected a universal language capable of uniting, moving and breaking down barriers, where each person shone with their own identity.
Each performance was the result of hours of work, dedication and passion, reinforcing a key message that defines the club’s philosophy: diversity not only adds up, but enriches. This approach is the focus of the work of coaches Natalia Herrero and Claudia Mazuelos, who base their work on camaraderie, teamwork and friendship as pillars of personal and sporting growth.
The gala showed that inclusion is an essential value when creating spaces where everyone has a place. The CD Es Vedrà thanked the support of the City Council of Sant Josep de sa Talaia for the cession of the auditorium and the City Council of Sant Antoni de Portmany, present since the beginning of the project. Daniel Sánchez Gutiérrez, councilman of Sports, and Jorge Nacher Selva, councilman of Social Welfare, Equality, Youth and Citizen Participation, reaffirmed their commitment to grassroots sport and inclusive values.
The Es Vedrà Rhythmic Gymnastics Club is currently the first and only officially inclusive rhythmic gymnastics club in the Balearic Islands and, in a very short time, has established itself as a national benchmark, demonstrating that inclusive sport is not only possible, but essential to promote equality, integration and personal development.
