The tension between two of the best known figures of Spanish rap, Fernando Costa, an artist originally from Ibiza, and Ayax, has gone in recent months from a private estrangement to a completely public confrontation. What for years was a close relationship within the scene has become a direct crossing of reproaches that is already expressed through social networks and new songs.
This Monday, the Ibizan rapper has released “Te avisé”, a song in which he points to Ayax with serious accusations related to violence, drug use and manipulative behavior. One of the most striking lines mentions an alleged payment to withdraw a legal complaint, an accusation that has further inflamed the conflict.
What happened between the artists? The reasons for the fight
The origin of the rupture dates back to November 2024, when the Instagram account @DenunciaGranada began to publish testimonies of women who claimed to have been assaulted by Ayax and his twin brother, Prok. Although these accounts were not publicly prosecuted, the issue generated an intense debate in networks and reached Costa months later.
In an interview, the Ibizan artist said that, if the testimonies were true, “justice would have to act”, statements that Ayax interpreted as a betrayal. From there began a public escalation of messages: Ayax responded in networks ensuring that Costa owed part of his success to him, and that the loyalty between the two had been broken.
In later publications, some of which have since been removed, Ayax went so far as to claim that he had financed Costa’s tours, while Costa claimed that for years he performed as an opening act for nothing more than room and board, and that the alleged debt was offset by the personal wear and tear suffered during that period.
Music as a battlefield

The conflict intensified again last Friday, when Ayax released “Justicia Poética”, a song in which he directs explicit attacks towards Costa, including personal allusions and direct references to works by the Ibizan.
Three days later, Fernando Costa answered with “Te avisé”, where he exposes episodes that, according to him, are part of the environment of the artist from Granada: problems derived from drug consumption, economic conflicts, violence and situations that would have had repercussions on people close to Ayax. The theme also ironizes about his presence in television programs and makes references to moments that Costa attributes to the private life of his former friend.
The tone of both releases has moved the feud to the forefront of the Spanish urban scene, with thousands of followers analyzing every verse and every hint.
An unsuccessful truce attempt
Before the tirades, Ayax tried to reduce the tension by posting a message on Instagram in which he called his initial reaction “unnecessary and immature” and sent good wishes to Costa. However, after that statement there were no further public approaches and the release of both subjects has reactivated the conflict.
Thus, a confrontation that began as a personal disagreement has become an open clash between two rap referents, followed attentively by a scene that has been commenting for weeks on the consequences of the confrontation between the Ibizan artist and the rapper from Granada.
