The Balearic Government, through the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Natural Environment and the Department of Education and Universities, has delivered this Wednesday in Ibiza the award of Eco-environmental Center to 17 schools, to recognize their work in environmental education and sustainability, in an event linked to the regional program of Eco-environmental Centers.
In addition, another 19 centers of Ibiza and Formentera have received the certificate of Eco-environmental Center, which recognizes their participation in the program, in line with previous editions collected by La Voz de Ibiza on the eco-environmental awards in the Pitiusas.
Recognition throughout the Balearic Islands
In this XXI edition 153 centers of the Balearic Islands have taken part: 99 of Mallorca, 33 of Ibiza, 19 of Menorca and three of Formentera. Of these, 75 have been distinguished with the award of Eco-environmental Center and 78 more have obtained the certificate of participation, with projects that integrate environmental education and sustainability in the curricula.
