The Consell de Ibiza has given the green light to the contracting dossier and the start of the awarding process for the construction works of the new Official Language School. This project, located in the Sa Coma Island Park, has a budget of approximately 6.6 million euros, according to the insular institution. Last June, the Consell de Ibiza and the Conselleria de Educación signed a collaboration agreement to finance the rehabilitation and expansion of two pavilions that will house the school. The total investment amounts to 6,643,982.71 euros, which will be paid in four annual installments. The Consell will be in charge of rehabilitating and transforming the buildings, which will later be transferred to the Balearic Government for its use.
Modern and multipurpose facilities
The new center will have 23 multi-purpose classrooms, as well as libraries, an exhibition hall and other educational spaces. The works, once awarded, will have an estimated duration of 18 months, with the aim of offering a modern educational environment adapted to the current needs of the island.
