The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) has activated a health alert after confirming the presence of metal and rubber parts in two batches of a well-known dehydrated soup marketed in Spain. The warning comes after the Romanian health authorities transferred the notification through the official information exchange mechanisms.
The affected lots and their distribution in Spain
The product involved is ‘Chicken soup with noodles’ of the Knorr brand, specifically lots 527922C93 and 528022C93, both with expiration date 04/2027. It is a packaged format of 63 grams, preserved at room temperature and usually distributed in supermarkets.

According to the AESAN, the initial distribution has reached Andalusia, the Balearic Islands, Catalonia, the Canary Islands, Castilla-La Mancha, Galicia and Madrid, although secondary redistribution to other autonomous communities has not been ruled out.
A warning derived from company self-monitoring
The information available comes from the company’s own self-monitoring. In compliance with current legislation and with the objective of “not making unsafe food available to the population”, the manufacturer reported the incident to the competent authorities after detecting the problem in the aforementioned lots.
As it is a possible physical contamination with elements such as metal and rubber, the recall has been activated as a preventive and urgent measure to avoid any risk to consumers.
Recommendation: do not consume the affected soup
The AESAN, under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, has issued a clear recommendation addressed to anyone who has acquired these products. As the statement points out, the agency advises those who have them at home to “refrain from consuming them”.
