This is what La Voz de Ibiza has learned in recent hours, after the Guardia Civil gave some details about the ongoing investigation, called Operation Tulp .
As advanced by this media, days after the discovery of the boat was arrested a suspect nicknamed “Chuky”, who is in custody, as has been confirmed by La Voz de Ibiza. La Voz de Ibiza.
The boat had been rented to the company Nautigas, based in Santa Eulària, who had been targeted by investigators. The company had explained at the time that they had no knowledge of the illicit use of the boat and that they were actively collaborating with the authorities.
A land patrol had detected a speedboat sailing erratically and at high speed near the coast. When intercepted by the Maritime Service, the occupants attempted to ram the agents before running the vessel aground on the beach and fleeing on foot through the rocky area of Torre des Carregador.

Images from the port would have allowed the agents to trace the previous movements of the vessel, a NUVA M11 model of 11.20 meters in length and two 300-horsepower Mercury engines, owned by the company Nautigas.
Weeks later, the Guardia Civil confirmed the arrest of two subjects: two Spanish men, aged 38 and 30.
The first detainee, 38 years old, was arrested on October 28 during a routine check by the Local Police of Santa Eulària, who confirmed that he was the wanted suspect and handed him over to the Guardia Civil. The second suspect, aged 30, surrendered voluntarily on November 5 at the premises of the Guardia Civil in Ibiza, assisted by his lawyer.
