The name of Cristina Sánchez Lora has already been engraved in the history of Operación Triunfo. The Sevillian rose as winner of the 2025 edition after a constant trajectory, marked by the support of the public and an artistic evolution that was growing gala by gala.
At only 19 years old, she became one of the youngest winners of the format and one of the most promising bets of recent years.
An early favorite that never lost the pulse of the contest
From her first appearance in Gala 0, Cristina made it clear that she was not just another contestant. Her initial performance impressed both the jury and the audience and quickly placed her among the favorites. Throughout the program she knew how to alternate modern registers with more classical pieces, defending demanding songs with personality and solvency.
This versatility, coupled with a genuine connection with the audience, led her to lead the voting on several occasions and to win the final with a resounding endorsement.
Long before stepping foot in the Academy, Cristina was already part of the OT universe as a spectator: she lived intensely the 2017 edition with her family and closely followed the evolution of artists who are now benchmarks of Spanish pop. That experience as a fan sowed an idea that matured over the years: to try it herself and, to present herself at the castings was the first step to transform that admiration into a real opportunity.
A passion for music born in childhood

Raised in Mairena del Aljarafe, Cristina grew up surrounded by music. In her family environment it has always been said that she began to sing even before she could speak, an anecdote that summarizes the extent to which art was part of her life from an early age.
Although he decided to study Journalism and Audiovisual Communication at the University of Seville, he never left aside his artistic vocation or his parallel musical training.
The experience in front of the cameras was not new to her either: when she was only eight years old, she appeared for the first time on television in Menuda noche, the popular program of Canal Sur. From then on, she participated in other programs of the regional channel such as Mi familia es la mejor, Aquí como en casa or Tierra de talento.
Later on, she extended her career with a participation in Idol Kids, where her name began to be known at a national level.
Musical theater as an artistic school

Before OT, Cristina also trained on the stage: during her adolescence she joined a musical theater company from Seville with which she toured different stages performing shows inspired by titles such as The Little Mermaid, Coco or Enchantment.
This stage allowed him to gain stage fluency, discipline and a very direct relationship with the audience, something that was later clearly reflected in each performance in the contest.
Eurovision, one of the most important dreams
Within the Academy, Cristina never hid her enthusiasm for the Eurovision Song Contest, she declares herself a Eurofan of the contest and places the possibility of representing Spain as one of her great objectives in the medium term. Although she is aware of the political context and the decisions surrounding the contest, she keeps intact the illusion of taking her music beyond our country.
The victory in Operación Triunfo 2025 marks a before and after in his career, although it does not define it as complete. The real challenge begins now, outside the Academy, where she will have to turn that momentum into a sustained trajectory over time.
