Iberia Express has increased its seat offer this winter by 3% thanks to the optimization of its fleet, up to 3.5 million seats. In this line, it continues with its commitment to Ibiza in winter and, in the season that began on October 27, it will have 23 weekly frequencies and will offer nearly 208,000 seats, 7% more than last year. In these months, Iberia Express will operate 22 destinations, with almost 1 million seats for international destinations (+2%). Outside Spain, the Iberia Express destination with the highest growth is Amsterdam, where the company is increasing from two to three daily frequencies, with schedules covering all time slots and overnight stays in the Dutch capital. This represents a 45% increase in capacity compared to 2023 and exceeds 150,000 seats. Another international destination that Iberia Express has focused on is Manchester (United Kingdom), where it also increases from four to five weekly frequencies, representing a 25% increase in capacity and more than 38,000 seats. The airline, which launched its route between Madrid and Cairo (Egypt) in October 2023, has scheduled for this winter nearly 60,000 seats and six flights a week, twice as many as last winter. As for the domestic market, the Balearic archipelago is Iberia Express’ strongest market this winter season, with almost 650,000 seats on offer, concentrated mainly on the islands of Mallorca and Ibiza. In Mallorca, Iberia Express is growing by 13% in frequencies, with more than 100 weekly flights with Madrid, and in seats, where it will exceed 436,000 due to the increase in frequencies and the scheduling of aircraft with greater capacity. In addition, in December, Iberia Express will reinforce the Iberia Group’s operation in Menorca to facilitate the travel of residents and will operate two weekly frequencies and nearly 3,500 seats, 22% more than last year.
