The Local Police of Sant Antoni removed between November 24 and 28 a total of 21 abandoned bicycles in different parts of the town center, in a joint operation of the Environment Unit (UMA) and the Agents of Intrusiveness and Coexistence (AIC), as reported by the City Council in a statement.
The vehicles have been taken to the police station, where they remain at the disposal of their owners, following the municipal protocol.
Within the framework of Law 7/2022 on waste and contaminated soils, the police warn that, if the owners do not recover the bicycles within the deadlines, the regulatory procedure for their treatment and final destination will be applied, in accordance with the local ordinance.
In order to maintain the urban image
The municipal body insists on the importance of keeping vehicles parked on public roads in good condition, a measure that contributes to improving the urban image and avoiding obstacles in pedestrian areas.
The Local Police also requests the cooperation of neighbors to identify bicycles in disuse or presumably abandoned, channeling the notices through the usual channels.
