The Ibiza Airport closed the month of October with 848,788 passengers, representing a slight decrease of 0.6% compared to the same month of 2023. Despite this slight monthly decrease, between January and October 2024 passenger traffic has increased by 1.4%, reaching 8.57 million users, according to data provided by Aena this Tuesday. The majority of travelers (847,591), flew on commercial connections. Within that figure, domestic traffic experienced a 3% drop, reaching 308,316 passengers, while international traffic remained on the rise, growing by 0.8% and adding 539,275 users. As for the main international markets, Aena reported that the United Kingdom continues to lead demand with 187,126 passengers, followed by Germany (96,207), Italy (72,520) and the Netherlands (61,985). Air operations during October remained stable, with 7,577 flights, almost the same number as in the same month of the previous year. In the year-to-date, the airport handled 77,314 aircraft movements (takeoffs and landings), just 0.1% less than in 2023.
