The Ibiza Town Hall has put out to tender this Friday the refurbishment works of several parking lots in the municipality, financed with funds from the Sustainable Tourism Tax (ITS) of the Government of the Balearic Islands, as reported by the Consistory in a press release.
The announcement is a new step in the municipal plan to end the parking problems in Ibiza, presented last October, which includes the creation and improvement of parking areas in strategic points of the city, as La Voz de Ibiza advanced then.
Details of the bidding process
The deadline for submitting bids is January 8, 2026, at 7 p.m., and the maximum budget for the contract amounts to 1,128,836.71 euros (VAT included), according to the municipal communiqué.
The purpose of the contract is to carry out the necessary works to adapt and improve currently deteriorated or unused sites, in order to expand and organize the parking supply in the municipality and promote a more sustainable mobility, adds the City Council.
Where the lots will be
The planned actions are structured in two lots. Lot 1 includes the parking lots located in Mare Nostrum, d’En Bossa street, Sa Punta street, Font i Quer street, ses Figueretes, Sant Jordi avenue, 8 d’Agost avenue, Es Raspallar street, Sa Llavanera street and the site of the San Pablo Neighborhood Association.
Lot 2 corresponds to the Cas Dominguets de Dalt parking lot.
The Councilor for Works and Public Roads, Blanca Hernández, states in the press release that “with this tender, the Ibiza Town Hall continues to make progress in the improvement of urban infrastructure, the expansion of parking spaces and the recovery of degraded spaces”, contributing to “a more orderly and sustainable mobility” in the municipality .
The contracting procedure will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of Law 9/2017, of November 8, on Public Sector Contracts and interested companies must have the necessary human, technical and mechanical means, in addition to providing the materials required to execute the work, indicates the City Council.
