The Ibiza Town Hall has put out to tender the construction of the new municipal soccer and rugby field of Es Putxet, in the street des Jondal. The amount of the investment is 3.9 million euros.
With an execution period of five months, the new field must comply with the homologation tests of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the Royal Spanish Rugby Federation (RFER), as reported by the Consistory in a statement.
The Councilor for Sports in Vila, Catalina Fuster, explained that the project aims to provide a “modern and adequate” facility for the practice of 11-a-side soccer, 7-a-side soccer and rugby, “on an artificial turf surface”.
In addition to the playing field, complementary facilities will be built, including a ticket office for access control and twelve prefabricated modules for a physiotherapy room, men’s and women’s locker rooms, offices, referee’s locker rooms, a storage room and public toilets.
The surface of the field will be 113 x 72 meters and will have a grandstand with eight rows and capacity for 986 spectators.
