Ibiza faces the final stretch of December with a clearly unstable pattern, marked by frequent rains, very cloudy skies and a humid environment. The forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) points to several consecutive days with high probability of rainfall and mild temperatures for the season.
Punctually in Vila, this Wednesday, December 24 (Christmas Eve) is presented with probability of precipitation of 100% in the whole day, especially during the first half of the day. Cloudy or very cloudy skies are expected, with light rain and the possibility of thunderstorms in the early morning. Temperatures will move between 7 and 15 degrees, with light to moderate wind from the north, turning west in the afternoon.
Thursday, December 25 (Christmas) will be the most complicated day of the period, with a forecast of widespread rain and thunderstorms and a probability of precipitation that remains at 100% throughout the day. The wind will tend to northwest, with moderate intensity, and temperatures will drop slightly: maximum around 13 degrees and minimum around 7, in a context of very high humidity.
The situation will tend to soften partially on Friday 26, although still with an 80% chance of rain, especially in the first half of the day. Cloudy intervals with rain are expected, with a tendency to a more open afternoon. Temperatures will again reach highs close to 15 degrees.
On Saturday 27, instability will continue, with cloudy intervals and scarce rain, and a probability of precipitation of 85%. The wind will turn east, and the thermometer will remain stable, with lows of 8 and highs of 15 degrees.
Looking ahead to Sunday 28 and Monday 29, the forecast maintains a humid scenario, with very high rain probabilities (95% and 90%) and winds from the east and northeast, which could blow with some more intensity. Temperatures will rise slightly, with expected highs of 16 degrees and lows of 9.
The first lull will come on Tuesday, December 30, when the probability of precipitation drops to 40%, although skies will still be cloudy. Temperatures will remain mild, around 16 degrees maximum.
