The Department of Culture of the City Council of Ibiza organizes together with the Department of Youth; the filmmaker and director of the production company Pauxa Films, Pablo Alcántara; and the filmmaker and head of EskoriaFilms, Adrián Cardona, the first edition of the Ibiza Halloween Festival, a film festival, horror and fantasy with activities designed to land and fun for young and old.
The festival has a wide variety of proposals, including a short horror film contest, the Terror Exprés. All young people who want to participate can contact the festival by emailing ibizahalloweenfestival@gmail.com before October 31 and are challenged to record a horror film in a maximum of one minute. All the audiovisual creations will be shown on November 2nd when the winner of the contest will be announced. There will be two prizes, the jury prize of 200 euros and a prize voted by the public, sponsored by the production company Cine Asako, with another 200 euros.

Ibiza Halloween 2024 Festival
On the other hand, on October 29 and 30 from 16.30 to 20.30 hours will be held at the C19 the advanced course of Halloween makeup, a course of hyper-realistic and chilling makeup. On Thursday October 31 the center of Ibiza will be invaded by the scariest zombies from 21:30. The Zombie Route will have a circular circuit from Paseo de Vara de Rey with a stop at the Teatro Pereyra at 21.45 to have a drink and dance to mythical themes in the zombie world with video mapping on the facade. At the end of the Zombie Route, the Monster Pasarela will start in Vara de Rey presented by Karras and the girl of the exorcist. On the following days, November 1 and 2, several film sessions will be held at the Can Ventosa Cultural Space. On the 1st at 5.30 pm, The Neverending Story will be screened, a fantasy film that the little ones will be able to enjoy. At 8 pm there will be a screening of approximately 2 hours of short horror films in collaboration with the Fangofest and at 10 pm several works by Adrián Cardona will be shown, including Fist of Jesus, one of the filmmaker’s most successful short films, with a subsequent discussion with members of his team. On the 2nd at 18.00 Lincessa will be screened, a film also designed for children and, at the end, the horror shorts that have been submitted to the Terror Exprés contest will be shown for the subsequent awards ceremony. Finally, at 10 pm, horror film lovers will be able to stay at Can Ventosa to see El silencio desde el mal.
