The Associació Cultural Anneliese Witt – Rafael Tur Costa has presented the virtual Catalogue Raisonné of the Ibizan artist Rafael Tur Costa, an ambitious project that will have the collaboration of the Consell de Ibiza, the City Council of Santa Eulària and the University School ADEMA. The catalog will offer free access in four languages and will include the artist’s complete production, including technical details, dates, exhibitions and bibliographic references. This digital project will keep alive the legacy of Tur Costa, becoming a fundamental tool for both research and authentication of his works. In addition, it will be developed in two phases, ranging from pieces preserved in the Balearic Islands to works and documents scattered around the world.

During the presentation, the scientific director Jaume Reus invited the owners of the artist’s works to collaborate with the association to complete the catalog, highlighting the importance of this platform as an advance in the dissemination of contemporary art. For its part, ADEMA will assume the technical maintenance of the website, ensuring its constant updating and global access. The president of ADEMA’s Board of Trustees, Diego González, highlighted the impact of this collaboration on cultural research, stating that this catalog will become a key resource for researchers, collectors and art critics. Carmen Ferrer, mayor of Santa Eulària, underlined the relevance of this project for preserving the island’s heritage, stressing that initiatives like this help to protect and enhance the value of local cultural wealth. The insular director of Culture, Miquel Costa Tur, celebrated this initiative that commemorates the centenary of the birth of Tur Costa. He explained that this catalog reinforces the commitment of the institutions with art and culture, allowing to share the work of one of the most important referents of the island with the world.
