Romanian airline Animawings has announced a new direct connection between Bucharest (Romania) and Ibiza (Spain), which will be its third Spanish destination after Gran Canaria and Palma de Mallorca. Flights will start on June 5, 2025 and will be operational until September 28, 2025, with a frequency of two flights per week (Thursdays and Sundays).
This is the second time that Ibiza has a direct connection with Romania. The first time the link was provided by Blue Air, a low-cost airline that operated at the airport of es Codolar during the 2022 season, year in which it ceased operations.

- Aircraft used: Airbus A220-300, configured for 137 passengers, including 12 business class seats.
- Total weekly capacity to Ibiza: 274 seats.
Other routes to Spain
With the addition of Ibiza, Animawings consolidates its offer between Romania and Spain. Routes for the 2025 summer season include:
- From Bucharest/Otopeni:
- Gran Canaria (LPA): One flight per week (Tuesdays) from June 10 to September 30.
- From Timișoara:
- Palma de Mallorca (PMI): One flight per week (Thursdays) from June 12 to September 25.
In total, the airline will offer 548 seats per week between Romania and Spain, making it the only airline that will connect the three Spanish destinations with Romania during the summer season.
