Ibiza celebrated this Wednesday the 25th anniversary of its recognition as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, with a day full of activities that connected the past and the present. The official events, led by Mayor Rafael Triguero, included the inauguration of a commemorative plaque, a photographic exhibition based on the book Quan la mar abraça la història and an emotional concert by the Ciutat d’Eivissa Symphony Orchestra, with the outstanding participation of violinist Lina Tur Bonet. The evening culminated with a spectacular show of 220 drones, which illuminated the sky with representative images of Ibiza’s heritage, leaving a clear message about the importance of preserving this unique cultural legacy for future generations.
