Mad Cool Festival is preparing for an unforgettable edition. On the occasion of its tenth anniversary, the Madrid event has unveiled a luxury lineup and a series of new features that promise to transform the experience of the attendees.
More than 70 international and national artists will be part of an event that has once again established itself as one of the most important festivals in Europe.
Foo Fighters, Florence + the Machine, Lorde, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Pulp, Pixies, Jennie, Kings of Leon, Moby, Halsey and Zara Larsson are just some of the names that will headline a line-up that combines rock, pop and electronica on a grand scale.
When and where Mad Cool 2026 will be held
The special edition of the festival will take place from July 8 to 11, 2026 at Iberdrola Music, the new venue located in Madrid’s Villaverde district. This space, which debuted in the last edition, will host thousands of people for four days in a celebration that will bring together music, art and sustainability in the same environment.
With this definitive move to Villaverde, Mad Cool seeks to consolidate a new stage marked by the expansion and modernization of its infrastructure. The festival promises a diverse and multisensory programming, with stages dedicated to different genres and parallel experiences of gastronomy, urban art and interactive activities.

Changes for the 2026 edition: less seating and more comfort

Mad Cool 2026 arrives with a series of transformations designed to improve the audience experience. The most important is the reduction of the capacity, which will be reduced to 50,000 attendees per day, a figure significantly lower than in previous years.
The organization assures that this decision seeks to favor mobility within the enclosure, avoid crowds and reduce waiting times in the restaurant and stage areas. “Our public asked us for more space, less queues and a better management of schedules. We have listened,” explained festival officials.
In addition, the opening hours will be modified to adapt to the high temperatures of Madrid’s summer. Concerts will start later to avoid the hottest hours and offer a more relaxed atmosphere during the performances.
